Overview
The Agency of Education is seeking qualified candidates to serve a critical role on the Education Transition Team, supporting major legislative initiatives related to education policy and school district transformation. This position will lead and coordinate AOE supports for learning and teaching standards, integration, and planning in alignment with state education transformation goals. In addition to leading activities related to internal operations and process building to support this work in the field, this position will drive significant field interaction and integrated district-level supports. This position will be responsible for facilitation and engagement, analysis, and development of Agency technical supports for learning and teaching strategies and integration to ensure high quality educator resources and instructional practices. This position works directly with district and Agency leadership to prioritize review and integration of major school district business processes and systems during periods of governance and policy transition. Unlike traditional project managers, this position is expected to have an in-depth understanding of teaching and instructional best practices and evidence-based strategies, high quality educator supports, and educator certification requirements. Priority areas of focus will include use of effective and centralized systems, integration between curriculum, instruction, accountability systems and sources, resource management, and building processes which can ensure effective and current instructional strategies. This position will be responsible for independent facilitation and engagement, analysis, and development of Agency technical supports for school and district learning and teaching strategies and structures. Examples of work may include:
Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience with, and a thorough knowledge of, curriculum and instruction principles and practices, with an emphasis on the impact of these principles in public Pre-K-12 school systems OR working knowledge of such, and an extensive background in project management for projects or initiatives involving education, curriculum, or related policy. Candidates must be able to analyze complex activities, relationships and situations, identify problems, draw logical conclusions, and develop and defend independent recommendations. This position is expected to be funded on a year-to-year basis for up to a 5-year period, with potential to be extended based on future legislative directive. Who May Apply

This is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs. Work is performed in a standard office setting, but some in-state travel will be required. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in education, organizational development, business or public administration, continuous improvement, or related field AND four (4) years or more of experience in change management or organizational development that includes experience in the basic concepts of process improvement, strategic planning, organizational redesign, change management, and performance analysis. OR Eight (8) years or more of experience in change management or organizational development that includes experience in the basic concepts of process improvement, strategic planning, organizational redesign, change management, and performance analysis.
