MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Master's degree in Human Resources,Business Administration, or Industrial Relations AND two (2) year of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment.

OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or other related degree AND four (4) years of professional Human Resources specializing in recruitment.

OR Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or other related degree AND six (6) years of professional Human Resources experience is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and/or SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification desired.

2. LinkedIn Recruiter certificate desired.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Recent work experience in healthcare setting desired.

2. Supervisory experience a plus.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Perform activities related to the recruitment of qualified staff for assigned areas in accordance with the values, goals, and objectives of the organization and within Federal and State Regulatory guidelines.

2. Develops and implements effective short and long term recruitment plans to assure the availability of competent staff for the organization in coordination with appropriate management staff.

3. Reviews applications and resumes and utilizes assessments and selection tools to assess candidate qualifications. Coordinate candidate interviews, maintain schedules, and ensure timely follow up to applicants as Hiring Managers.

4. Conducts candidate screens and interviews utilizing behavioral interview process.

5. Participates in and coordinates career events and related activities with educational institutions and appropriate organizations to maintain a positive hospital image and furthers recruitment efforts. Promotes WVU Medicine as an employer of choice.

6. Develops and utilizes sourcing plans and activities to improve candidate pools - Proactively sources for roles and manages a candidate pool

7. Coordinates hiring process, scheduling, for new employees assuring completion of required procedures including physical/drug screen, criminal background check, references, etc.

8. Partners with management to develop, maintain, and implement recruitment plans for assigned area of responsibility. Acts as a consultant on all things recruitment and develops a business partner relationship with Hiring Managers.

9. Develops and maintains professional relationships with educational institutions and placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants. Establishes and maintains professional relationship with HR team members and hospital staff.

10. Consistently follows nondiscriminatory practices within recruitment process.

11. Utilizes technologies that support the HR function. (ATS, HRIS, HR Products and Vendors)

12. Assists with key projects as assigned such as event planning or other projected related to the advancement of key objectives for the TA team.

13. Mentors fellow team members with best practices. Embraces change and is a change-leader on the team.

14. Provides input to benefit and compensation areas related to recruitment trends and market sensitivity of specific positions.

15. Determines salary recommendations for new and transferring employees following the organization's compensation guidelines and philosophy.

16. Assists with the ongoing internal equity tracking and ensures all pay rates are calculated in order to maintain internal equity with the compensation philosophy.

17. Report recruitment activity, monitor and track team output in relation to goals and objectives.

18. Actively participates in departmental and functional meetings and activities.

19.Consults with other key stakeholders in WVU Medicine on strategies for recruitment. Establish and maintain professional relationships with HR Team members and hospital staff.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to travel to recruitment and other HR events is required. Travel will primarily during the Fall and Spring recruitment season. However, travel at other times may also be required.

Additional Job Description:

This is a Hybrid position consisting of some remote but requiring a significant in-office and community presence (recruitment events). The Recruiter will manage a high-volume, highly diverse requisition load, covering recruitment needs across multiple critical lines of business, including specialized Clinical/Ancillary Healthcare roles and foundational Support and Operational positions (EVS, Facilities, Administrative).
