POSITION
SUMMARY:
The Senior Electrical Estimator has a focus on
companywide success in adherence to MCC Standards and all preconstruction
activities necessary for the preparation and undertaking of all of Manhattan's preconstruction services
related to the electrical scope of work. The position is responsible for
compiling estimates, guiding owners, & driving precon deliverables to
budget. The Senior Electrical Estimator must be a
flexible and adaptable team player and have strong communication and client
service skills. In addition, the skill set of owning one's work & being confident
in the message being delivered is crucial to this role.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends client/design meetings
- Make Assignments for electrical/low voltage scopes of
work - Solicit Vendors
- Ability to Utilize BIM for Quantity Take-Offs
- Develop Bid Strategies for Projects for the electrical/low
voltage scopes of work - Create Subcontractor solicitation Lists for the electrical/low
voltage scopes of work - Ensure Coverage for all electrical/low voltage scopes
of work - Deliver Constructability Review, System Analysis, and
Value Management for electrical/low voltage scopes of work - Delegate Scope Assignments for electrical/low voltage
scopes of work and other responsibilities as assigned - Compile & Review all Take-Off and Pricing for electrical/low
voltage scopes of work - Review all sub lists with operations team members for electrical/low
voltage; Assist in complying w/ prequalification standards - Compile & Review All Tab Sheets related to electrical/low
voltage scopes of work - Lead Tab Sheet Review for electrical/low voltage scopes
of work - Assist with Negotiating Subcontracts and Purchasing for
electrical/low voltage scopes of work - Manage Turnover or Transition Meetings for electrical/low
voltage Scopes of Work - Develop electrical/low voltage portions for Owner
Deliverables; Estimate Summary, Estimate Detail, Clarifications - Asset in Value Management Exercises for electrical/low voltage scopes
of work - Provide assistance in project reviews of electrical/low
voltage scopes of work for quality/installation completeness - Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our
Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work. - Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES GUIDELINES:
- Knowledge and efficiency in Manhattan software
- Strong networking ability, known in the
community - Strong conceptual estimating skills
- Experience with delivering stellar preconstruction
services to clients & managing the budget - Familiarity with logistics and operations

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or
equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related
experience on a one-to-one basis - 8 years of industry experience
- Experience w/ & Knowledge of Electrical scope of work (subcontractor/design
firm)
WORKING
CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
- Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
- Ability to repeat the same movements.
- Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
- Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
- Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).
