Warehouse Analyst Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Analyst

Reports to: Logistics Manager

Location: Whitsett

Job Summary

The Warehouse Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing warehouse operations through data-driven insights, automation initiatives, and effective coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This position ensures inventory accuracy, process efficiency, and seamless integration of technology solutions to support a high-performing supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
  • Analyze warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and order fulfillment rates.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track operational performance and identify trends.
  • Automation & Process Optimization
  • Support implementation of automation tools (e.g., robotics, WMS enhancements).
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate new technologies and streamline workflows.
  • 3PL Coordination
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and 3PL providers to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Monitor 3PL performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Validate inbound/outbound schedules and resolve discrepancies with external partners.
  • Inventory Control & Auditing
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile variances between physical and system inventory.
  • Ensure data integrity across WMS and ERP platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with planning, transportation, and procurement teams to align warehouse activities with overall supply chain goals.
  • Provide training and support for new systems and process changes.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, analytics, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in WMS, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation technologies and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with 3PL management and performance tracking.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database tools; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle).
