| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelors degree in some form of Life Science (i.e. animal science, biology, microbiology, etc.). Previous experience (2+ year) working in a laboratory setting preferred. Computer skills like graphic design and digital illustration preferred. |
| Department Required Skills |
- Possess excellent organizational skills to be able to organize and store hundreds of
DNA, blood, and serum samples received throughout the year.
- Good time management skills to address the everchanging research priorities of the laboratory. |
| Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Benchtop laboratory skills, i. e. pipetting, sample processing, and ability to extract
DNA. Ability to process research samples using molecular assays and record test results into the appropriate research database in a timely manner. Individual should be able to confidently interpret research results and effectively troubleshoot issues when results are inaccurate or questionable. |
