Summary:

In this role, you will improve clients' financial, operational, and quality performance by establishing clinically integrated and system-level value analysis governance structures that enable effective decision making. You will apply Vizient's approach to a clinically integrated supply chain, ensuring that decisions about medical device use and evaluation are guided by physicians and clinicians and supported by clinical evidence. You will leverage your expertise as a Consulting Director to lead work efforts that deliver client value through insightful analytics and consultative guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide client on developing and implementing a sustainable system-wide value analysis governance structure tailored to the organization's culture, capacity, and available tools.
  • Provide supply chain departments with expertise to determine the most cost-effective product or service options using evidence-based research, utilization data, and reimbursement considerations to support high-quality patient care and margin integrity.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in value analysis, guiding executive leaders and physicians through design and implementation activities based on best practices.
  • Apply strong business insight and analytical skills to anticipate client needs, evaluate issues, and present best-practice solutions objectively and without bias.
  • Lead teams and initiatives aimed at improving processes, procedures, systems, quality, and customer experience.
  • Plan and oversee increasingly complex projects or work streams, making decisions related to priorities, scope, timing, and resources to achieve expected value while maintaining timeline alignment.
  • Lead strategic discussions and decision-making sessions with executives and physicians, cultivating long-term senior-level relationships and maintaining consistent engagement with C-suite leaders.
  • Deliver weekly client updates to ensure timely progress toward all statement-of-work deliverables.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying follow-up opportunities, assisting with marketing activities, shaping solutions or proposals, and contributing to the sales process.
  • Lead efforts to enhance existing products, services, tools, or methodologies within the designated focus area.
  • Identify and select relevant intellectual capital resources, such as case studies, for use in presentations or sales engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is desired; a master's degree is a plus.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience collaborating with value analysis teams in healthcare or supply chain consulting to support decisions based on the total value of medical supplies is required.
  • Demonstrated management skills and business acumen, including program planning and development, project management, and performance and quality management.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to drive consensus.
  • Strong client-facing and group presentation skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to give presentations to physicians, clinicians, and administrators.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex business challenges.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables. (up to 80%)

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
