Technical Trainer

XLA is currently seeking a Technical Trainer to support our DEA client onsite in Arlington, VA. Candidates must be local to the Arlington area, as this position is onsite in a federal office setting 5 days/week.

Salary: $155k per year

Requirements:



  • Must have previous employment in an executive leadership role
  • Must have a working knowledge of Spanish to communicate while safely managing multiple students at one time in often fast paced or high stress environments.
  • Preparation of correspondence associated with the planning and scheduling of training courses (example training cables).
  • Identify each class academic and field training supplies and services required. Plan, procure, and maintain costs / financial records for each class.
  • Distribution of clothing / uniforms, class supplies or equipment. Maintain inventory of equipment distributed and or purchased.
  • Effectively communicate with foreign dignitaries and/or high-ranking foreign law enforcement officials who attend SIU Basic courses or ceremonies.
  • Functional knowledge of excel, adobe and other computer programs to organize and
    maintain documents necessary to effectively run SIU Basic and Advanced courses.


Qualifications:



  • The contractor shall have a minimum of twelve (12) years' experience or a combination of education and experience totaling twelve (12) years in conducting
    and developing program studies, presenting findings to a team leader, and preparing written material.
  • The contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years of federal law enforcement experience performing duties such as interacting with and instructing students in a
    classroom, responsibility for a program, coordinating and scheduling courses, and administrative functions.
  • The contractor shall have three (3) years of recent experience in developing or delivering classroom, field instruction, or training scenarios.
  • The contractor shall be capable of operating independently or collectively in a high paced environment.
  • The contractor shall have a valid U.S. driver's license to operate OGV in accordance with 41 CFR, *102-34 Subpart D, Official Use of Government Motor Vehicles and
    have a Smith Driving Certification.
  • The contractor shall have a state driver's license that meets Real ID requirements or a U.S. passport as required by the Transportation Security Administration to travel
    CONUS.
  • The contractor shall obtain any required visas and adhere to DOS requirements including inoculations for OCONUS travel.
