As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Your role involves helping to deter security-related incidents, responding promptly to situations, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires both driving and armed responsibilities, offering a dynamic environment where you contribute to a secure atmosphere while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities, with attention to the unique needs of a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential threats, and report observations to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts as required.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific protocols related to access control, visitor management, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to employees, visitors and/or contractors as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Hold an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
