Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Bank Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within a financial institution, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment within the financial institution.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols inside and around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure setting.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to identify any unusual activity and report observations as required.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs to site management and Allied Universal as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and law enforcement or emergency personnel as necessary while representing Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
