Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to respond promptly to situations and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and screen individuals entering or exiting the location, verifying credentials as required.
  • Document observations and incidents accurately using Allied Universal protocols and report any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents at the government location.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats specific to government environments and communicate any concerns to supervisors.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain required qualifications for armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a current armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
