Job Title: Spine Patient Navigator Location(s): San Francisco, CA Overview: The Spine Patient Navigator provides comprehensive operational and patient-facing support within a high-volume outpatient specialty clinic. This role is responsible for coordinating patient flow, facilitating communication between patients and clinical staff, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation, and supporting physicians and surgeons during clinic operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service capabilities, the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, and a solid understanding of outpatient clinical workflows. Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience running outpatient clinics with direct responsibility for supporting patients during clinic operations.
- Experience answering and triaging patient phone calls, including managing high call volumes and providing clear, service-oriented communication.
- Proficiency in scheduling appointments, coordinating follow-up visits, and managing provider calendars.
- Demonstrated experience supporting a physician or surgeon in clinic, including preparing patient charts, managing in-clinic logistics, and ensuring clinic efficiency.
- Ability to guide patients through their care journey, including education, instructions, and navigation of next steps.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with surgery scheduling is highly desirable.
- Experience working within an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Education / Certificates / Licenses:
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
- No specific licenses or certifications are required for this role.
