The successful candidate:
This is a FT Hybrid (1month onsite, 1 month remote) position - Hours 8-4:30pm EST
Contributes to the hospital delivery of optimum care by responsibly scheduling established patient care appointments. Performs telephone interactions and electronic functions to coordinate scheduling of patient care. Works in partnership with patients, caregivers, care teams, and providers to maintain accurate schedule/visit information, accurate billing and tracking functions, and support patient satisfaction and preferences.
Education/Experience Level
High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree desirable
2-3 years of Medical Scheduling experience preferred
MA/CNA work experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent customer service, time management, communication skills.
Energetic approach, strong follow-up attitude, creative, & team player attitude.
Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Working knowledge of electronic medical record, medical scheduling and record keeping software.
Knowledge of computer and Microsoft office programs.
Enters and retrieves data from given sources on a personal computer.
