Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Systems Engineer - Endpoint Services to work with a team of developers to implement new capabilities for the current classification marking tool and tools supporting M365 web-based applications. In this role, you will document the full lifecycle of design, development, and testing, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position is based in the Columbia, MD area.
What you will do
- Collaborate with a team of developers to implement new capabilities for the classification marking tool and M365 web-based applications.
- Document the full lifecycle of design, development, and testing for policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.
- Create standard system engineering and test documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Test new software releases and document results to support continuous improvement.
What you need to have
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 5 additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 12 years of experience.
- 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
- Technical Skills:
- Experience generating standard system engineering and test documentation.
- Excellent written communication skills and experience creating program/process-related documents.
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and deliverables effectively.

- Ability to analyze system requirements, concepts of operations, and high-level system architecture to develop requirements specifications.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and capturing customer requirements.
- Ability to triage user issues and track/respond to user questions.
- Skills in establishing internal schedules and milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Experience reporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly status updates in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and providing deliverables to the government.
- Ability to provide meeting minutes and coordinate communication for critical issues.
- Experience testing new configurations and software releases, including tracking and reporting results.
- Ability to coordinate and identify test users for various scenarios.
- Experience coordinating software deliveries with external organizations.
