Overview

The Packaging Operator (Assembler) will perform mechanical assembly and final inspection on the housing and cover manufacturing areas. The role includes the use of machines, microscopes, and hand tools to perform operations.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical assembly, cleaning, bead blasting, deburring, and final inspection on glass-to-metal seal and cover manufacturing lines.
  • Load and unload parts from furnaces and ovens.
  • Use microscopes to build and inspect parts.
  • Use calipers and mechanical instruments to take measurements.
  • Understand and follow assembly drawings, written, and verbal work instructions.
  • Do basic math and apply it to specifications.
  • Work with supervisors and engineers to ensure flow of production and report issues that affect the product quality and equipment performance.

This is a day shift position (5:00 am to 1:30 pm).


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to use small hand-tools such as tweezers and microscope
  • Basic computer skills for documenting defects and time charging
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)

Preferred Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and participate in problem solving when process and quality issues come up

Hourly Range: $19.23 - $24.03. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
