Position Summary The Department employs over 50 professors pursuing research in all areas of chemistry and biochemistry. The goals of this research include synthesizing complex natural products and new nano-materials required to solve the many health and environmental crises facing our planet, and illuminating the molecular mechanisms that regulate the decoding of genetic information. Salary & Compensation UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications* Knowledge of Physical Biochemistry, molecular biophysics and computer programming in C, Julia, and Matlab. (Required) Working knowledge of Macintosh desktop computers and common associated software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Illustrator. (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey research progress in a clear concise manner. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and / or equivalent experience and / or training.
