ATI is seeking to hire an Inside Sales Specialist to support our Aerospace and Defense segment within the Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position will be based in Natrona Heights, PA.

This position will manage all quoting, order capture and entry, tracking, invoicing, export control, and other customer service-related activities for our major accounts across ATI Specialty Rolled Products. The primary responsibilities will involve coordinating and leading activities with team members across multiple disciplines to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction. This individual will report directly to the Sr. Leader, Sales & Marketing.

Essential Functions




  • Customer Intimacy - Develop relationship with key customer personnel so that ATI SRP is at the top of the customers call list and willing to provide detailed information that advantages ATI SRP.
  • Credit / Collections - Obtain and relay necessary credit information to credit department. Ensure payment terms are accurately displayed, invoice accurately reflects prices quoted. Monitor payment practices and help to identify and resolve any issues that impact adherence to agreed upon payment terms. Ensure accurate, timely credits.
  • Quoting - Secure opportunities to quote, obtain sufficiently detailed customer requirements package including applicable specs and desired lead time. Coordinate with marketing, technical, and supply chain to provide a comprehensive quote. Maintain and update quote / contract documentation as it progresses toward award. Identify critical customer wants that will enable us to generate the strongest offer possible. Track quote and identify and communicate any competitive price lead time issues that may develop. Close out opportunity with won / loss markers in CRM system.
  • Order Fulfillment - Once order has been secured, collaborate with all disciplines required to generate an accurate and complete order. Enter and audit order for accuracy and completeness. Actively manage the order to ensure it moves expeditiously from order entry to acknowledgement
  • Customer Inventory Support Programs - Manage programs for contract buys or in accordance with supply agreements. Partner with technical and supply chain during the order fulfillment process to better utilize existing inventory and ensure alignment with exact order quantities.
  • Forecasts - Obtain and provide timely and accurate customer forecasts. Promptly communicate demand fluctuations as well as customer or plant outages to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Quality - work collaboratively with quality department on assigned key accounts and assessments.
  • On Time Delivery - Determine need and want dates, work with necessary parties to secure application and lead time required, work collaboratively with other departments to ensure order meets quoted delivery or recovers as quickly as possible from delivery impacting issues. Provide timely status information.
  • Export Compliance - Perform all functions necessary for the order to pass export compliance screening and or highlight issues at earliest possible juncture.
  • Customer System Integrations - As needed, work with a cross functional team to effectively integrate with customer systems (portals, payment systems, EDI).

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of customer account management experience


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience servicing OEM, value add, and complex contract accounts
  • Familiarity with EDI systems and processes
  • Experience in the metals industry

  • Extensive knowledge of ATI systems, products, procedures, and a key influencer within the organization
  • Experience and willingness to develop new processes or streamline existing ones.
  • Embraces change and willing to drive process & system improvements.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft products.
