Job Description Information Assurance and Cyber Security expert to support USTRANCOM's Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) based at Norfolk, VA. The JECC is an operationally-oriented JECC organization and requires a dynamic, energetic, and technically accomplished IA/Cyber Manager and practitioner. Specific Responsibilities Include:
Oversees a diverse range of IA activities oriented on planning, strategy, audit, and compliance tasks. Serves as the service owner/manager for Information Assurance services to maintain and coordinate system compliance with the DOD, USTRANSCOM, Air Force, Navy, and JECC information Security (INFOSEC) policies and instructions.
Per service provider(s) Information Assurance programs, submit IA related documents and reports using tools/products provided by the servicing agency. Coordinate with service providers on security and information assurance topics; respond to and assist in development of certification and accreditation packages; and develop, prepare, and make recommendations on policy requirements to include evaluating new requirements to ensure continual certification and accreditation compliance. Performs audits of JECC Perform Local Registration Authorities (LRA) Information Assurance Officer (IAO) activities and equipment.
Supports strategic development, short/medium/long range planning, operations, and projects associated with JECC Cyber Security operations. Serves as the J6's point person for Cyber Security-expertise.
In collaboration with Network engineering staff, develops strategies for monitoring, improving, and responding to cyber threats and scenarios. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) Benchmarks and Checklists.
Electronic Key Management Services
Supports issuing, accounting, handling, safeguarding, and disposing of COMSEC (Communications Security) material.
Skills and Experience: Required:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certified preferred. Certification Authorization Professional (CAP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM),CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO). Top Secret with SCI eligibility US Citizen
Desired:
No less than five years experience as IA Manager in a DOD environment. No less than two years experience in Cyber Security domain with specific experience developing certification and accreditation packages. Two years EKMS Bachelor's Degree in an IT, Computer Science, or engineering discipline.
