Compensation: $95,000 - $120,000 per year

Tessera is seeking an experienced Product and Customer Delivery Engineer to join our manufacturing operation in Auburn, Washington. The Product and Customer Delivery Engineer will support a fast-growing, 50,000 sq. ft. aerospace machining operation serving both defense and commercial markets. This role focuses on advancing manufacturing processes, strengthening operational systems, and driving cross-functional improvements that enable scalable, high-reliability production. The Engineer will work collaboratively across machining, inspection, engineering, and leadership teams to optimize workflows, reduce defects, enhance compliance, and help the organization mature its processes as it expands.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and improve processes across the end-to-end manufacturing flow, ensure quality and delivery to customer expectations and requirements.

  • Develop and implement workflows and process controls to support growth in both volume and product mix.

  • Support business with data-driven insights, capability analysis, and repeatable process design.

  • Maintain accurate and scalable process documentation, including routers, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to identify gaps, align priorities, and build solutions that support sustainable growth.

  • Lead efforts to standardize processes, enhance training, and strengthen the operational foundation needed for expansion.

  • Serve as a champion for continuous improvement of culture, encouraging involvement and ownership from all team members.

  • Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation meet AS9100, ISO9001, defense, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) planning, execution, and corrective action closure to ensure smooth onboarding of new programs.

  • Develop and monitor process controls to prevent recurrence of nonconforming products and reinforce system robustness.

  • Lead structured root cause investigations for process deviations, escapes, and systemic issues.

  • Develop practical and sustainable corrective actions that strengthen overall execution, not just local fixes.

  • Validate and report on the long-term effectiveness of implemented improvements.

  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven tools to identify and execute improvement projects aligned with organizational growth goals.

  • Conduct time studies, capability analyses, and process audits to uncover constraints and design scalable solutions.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events and focus on improvement initiatives across production and support departments.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

  • 8+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and/or process improvement roles is required

  • Combination of previous experience and education will be considered.

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining standards and specification, GD&T, inspection methods, and aerospace manufacturing environments.

  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements, FAI process, and manufacturing documenting systems.
