Description
The Contractor Safety Specialist plays a vital role in helping Kaneka North America, LLC maintain contractor safety, security, and emergency response procedures in accordance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and OSHA requirements. This ensures that all contractors working on KNA property remain compliant with both plant standards and federal regulations. In addition to these responsibilities, the specialist assists in developing the KNA Contractor Safety Policy, works to align contract work with Kaneka Job Representatives, and delivers safety-related training as well as general plant safety compliance initiatives. Serving as a subject matter expert in KNA's contractor safety standards and site HSSE management system, this role acts as the primary contact for production units, maintenance, engineering, and contract teams within the HSSE department. The specialist is responsible for ensuring that all contract work scopes are executed in compliance with company policies, as well as local and federal regulations. Education
Bachelors of Chemical Engineering (preferred)
Associates of Chemical Engineering (required) Experience
