Job Overview

The Vendor Relations Analyst supports vendors and merchants throughout the onboarding process. The Vendor Relations Analyst is primarily responsible for systematically setting up new vendors and answering any ongoing questions from vendors and merchants about our vendor standards and guidelines. They also serve as a liaison between Bloomingdale's and Macy's Inc. The individual must be able to understand the business and merchant needs and manage the setup process to meet those needs. The position entails a great deal of project management, communication, and problem solving.

Essential Functions



  • Work through end-to-end vendor setup inclusive of VDF, EDI, and non-EDI
  • Provide primary support for merchants and vendors
  • Guide merchants and vendors through questions on Macy's Inc. Vendor Standards Requirements
  • Prepare & maintain recaps, ad hoc reports, and KPIs
  • Support People Leader with initiatives by assisting with curating multiple reports to leverage in analyzing business impact, feasibility, system constraints and business rules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and execute Bloomingdale's strategy initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and workflows
  • Effectively analyze / troubleshoot issues and be able to summarize complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Competencies



  • Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year colleague or university
    • 2-4 years of Retail experience highly preferred

  • Technical Skills:

    • Must be highly proficient in M365 Suite, specifically advanced knowledge in Excel (macros, pivot tables), Access Database, Teams, etc.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to recommend appropriate courses of action.

  • Other Skills:

    • Strong customer service skills with an ability to understand customer needs and provide sound guidance
    • Flexibility in responding to changing priorities.
    • Initiative-taking with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • An effective collaborator who can interact with all levels of management.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on company needs

  • Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing and continuous use of computers and other office equipment. Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking, and lifting/moving up to 10 lbs.
