The College of the Arts is seeking (1) Public Relations Coordinator to join the already awesome team taking them to the next level of excellence! Assisting with events as a lead with planning and logistics when called upon (i.e., paperwork, catering, security, advertising, coordinating volunteers, purchases, event set up and breakdown, etc.), internal and external communications, and working on video production and photo documentation/archives. * Other increased responsibilities include assisting with NASAD protocol and preparation, building partnerships and collaborations, and increasing/expanding social media presence and community engagement. * This position is responsible for off campus events in addition to on campus events, both evening and weekend exhibitions. * Oversight of the new Ernest G. Welch Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series. Coordinating the VAS paperwork, travel, and lodging and supervising the VAS graduate assistant. * Compiles VAS talks/dates on calendar, send VAS event information to local publications and invite community members, alumni, and donors, posts talks on social media, creates online ads, provides WSAD swag and thank you notes, contacts artist for head shot, image of work, bio, and artist statement, arranges technology equipment needs, coordinates film and live stream of talk, makes studio visit schedule, emails grads for sign ups, reserves dinner plans, coordinates student luncheon, assists faculty with itinerary and sends to artists, run errands on behalf of the VAS artists. * There will be 3 speakers per semester (4 high-profile international artists or scholars and 2 faculty). * Other duties as assigned. Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and eight years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
