Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Director for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). This position plans, directs, facilitates, and supervises the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of best practices in teaching and learning, technologies, and employee professional development. This position will provide leadership and collaboration across the institution and district to enhance faculty and staff development, fostering innovation and advancement in learning, instruction, and assessment, with a strong focus on advancing the college's commitment to student success. Essential Functions 30% - Facilitates college-wide sharing and implementation of best practices in teaching and learning. Consults with faculty, administrators, and staff on issues related to the selection, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials and technologies, assessment; builds and maintains a community of faculty and staff around teaching and learning techniques and strategies. 25% - Directs program review, needs assessment, task analysis, content analysis, learner characteristic assessment, environmental review, and instructional analysis; participates in committee work related to learning and instructional design and shared governance; Directs and conducts applied research and data interpretation; Analyzes and uses data to inform decisions about programs and services within the CTL, including budget management. 20% - Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of CTL staff, identifies training needs and opportunities. 15% - Applies and modifies instructional design models and instructional systems, serves as a consultant on special learning, instructional, and/or assessment programs. 10% - Other duties as assigned, commensurate with the grade level of the position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, educational leadership or instructional design, or related field; six (6) years of full-time equivalent experience in educational leadership or instructional design and development, that includes two (2) years of supervisory experience and program development and evaluation. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
