Software Engineer

BigBear.ai is seeking a Software Engineer to work with a team of developers to support enterprise web applications across multiple fabrics. In this role, you will develop and support Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities for both enterprise and stand-alone deployments throughout the Intelligence Community (IC). This hybrid position is based in Hanover, MD.

• Provide input throughout the software lifecycle, including testing and deployment.
• Implement new features, capabilities, and address defects in enterprise web applications.
• Define, manage, and deliver capabilities within an existing development team.

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 4 additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 12 years of experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience is required.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains is required.
• Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Java development.
  • Ability to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, document test results, and correct code as needed.
  • Experience performing development in the eVo environment, including familiarity with tools such as GreyBox, Spring, and Docker.
  • Proficiency in using GitLab, CI/CD, and build pipelines.
  • Understanding of full-stack development principles.

• Familiarity with AWS tools and services.
• Experience performing software lifecycle activities to ensure system performance, availability, and compliance with business requirements.
• Ability to administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.
• Ability to write technical documentation, including wiki sites, blogs, XML, and HTML.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
• Experience engaging with leadership, customers, and interfacing teams.
