SPA's Joint Defense Support Group has a diverse portfolio encompassing the US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Army, the US Surface Navy, and the Navy Manpower, Personnel, Training, and Education Enterprise. Technical analysts and engineers provide tailored program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear command, control and communications, and design, production, and maintenance support. Military Operations analysts provide operational and decision support to advanced studies, wargame development, requirements development, materiel operations, supply strategies, program integration, and fleet readiness.


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program staff
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
  • Initiate, oversee and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
  • Oversee studies to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Lead and support technical programs, projects, or tasks whose technical complexity requires engineering oversight, ensuring the quality of the program
  • Plan and perform engineering research and design development in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications
  • Apply digital engineering tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements and concept of operations
  • Creating high level technical presentations and presents to Government leadership teams across the DoD

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • 15+ years related experience with 5 years in a SAP/SCI environment
  • Big Data (e.g., Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, PySpark, Dask, etc.)
  • Experience in application migration
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Red Hat Certified Architect
  • Active Top Secret, SCI eligible
