A Day In The Life The Quality Engineer, under the leadership of the Quality Manager, will support the processes to satisfy new and current customer demands for ASG products. The QE will manage and administer ASG's Quality Audit program and responses to quality issues, ensuring quality and compliance of new products, adhering to launch schedules, and identifying process improvements. The QE will take action to enhance cross-functional coordination, expand internal communications, and develop the entire Quality team's capabilities through team member engagement and training. As a Quality Engineer you will:
- Reliable, consistent, on-site attendance is a requirement. This position requires punctuality and dependable attendance to meet the business needs, including participation in meetings and presentations.
- Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement regarding a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the organization's safety expectations.

- Provides strong positive leadership skills, including but not limited to listening, mentoring, praising, and coaching. Daily interactions to provide positive reinforcement, constant communication, training, encouragement, and inspiration required to sustain an engaged and inspired workforce.
- Administer ASG's Quality Audit Program, analyzing audit results and performing routine discussions with each product department's team leadership.
- Define, develop, and own Quality metrics during each new product launch to ensure the producibility and/or marketability of components or products. Elements may involve statistical analysis and the capability to define parameters and train Associates to measure. Complete quality tasks on time to avoid impacting the launch timeline.
- Communicate quality and safety concerns to team leaders, Shop Floor Supervisor, Operations, Quality, and/or Warehouse management.
- Ensure routine material qualifications are executed, and results are appropriately recorded and analyzed. Act in accordance with the escalation process if the material fails testing.
- Maintain internal quality KPIs and manage improvement activities for metrics.
- Take action to enhance cross-functional coordination across departments, ensuring Quality is constantly fully aware of key drivers in manufacturing areas. Actions will be developed and implemented jointly by Quality and the Team Leader.
- Fully coordinate and communicate quality assurance activities to Quality and Operations management.
- Maintain Document Control Process as it relates to the Quality Management System.
- Provide direction, leadership, and developmental training to Quality Auditors.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant field. Req and
- 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Required
- Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing Required
- Experience working with Automotive OEMs Preferred
- Experience in ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 internal auditing Preferred
- Ability to effectively discuss information in one-on-one and small group settings (High proficiency)
