Tesla is seeking an experienced Capex& Construction Strategy Leadwith a proven track record in managing large-scale capital and operational expenditure programs. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, business process improvement, and systems optimization to support Finance and Business operations across our global organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and deployment of enterprise-wide CapEx forecasting, construction performance analytics, and project health dashboards that inform executive strategy and resource allocation
- Spearhead the standardization and automation of construction execution frameworks across global sites (e.g., Gigafactories, Megapack plants, Solar Roof deployment hubs), ensuring consistency, speed, and cost discipline
- Drive data-led innovation in construction delivery models-leveraging predictive analytics, AI/ML, and digital twin insights to optimize scheduling, labor productivity, material flow, and risk mitigation
- Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Site Operations to embed capital efficiency into the earliest stages of project design and scoping, reducing cost-to-complete by 15-30% across high-volume builds
- Champion scalable, repeatable construction methodologies that enable rapid deployment of next-generation infrastructure-without sacrificing quality or safety
- Serve as the trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex technical and financial insights into compelling narratives that drive investment, alignment, and execution speed
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or equivalent experience
- Deep hands-on experience across full project lifecycle-from feasibility and design to commissioning-spanning manufacturing facilities, renewable energy plants, or industrial infrastructure
- Mastery of advanced data tools and platforms: SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), R, Tableau, Power BI, and experience with large-scale, real-time data pipelines
- Proven ability to build and scale analytics capabilities from the ground up-designing KPIs, automating reporting, and embedding insights into operational workflows
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across engineering, procurement, construction, and finance-driving alignment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- A first-principles mindset applied to construction: questioning assumptions, challenging norms, and innovating on delivery models, materials, and sequencing
- Strong executive presence: You communicate complex issues with clarity, confidence, and impact-whether in boardroom presentations, leadership syncs, or technical deep dives

Expected Compensation
$108,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
