Summary
Responsible for the delivery of radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, daily maintenance and quality assurance checks for the equipment, maintenance of the inventory of department supplies, and administrative quality assurance checks as assigned. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Administers radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely, following departmental policies and procedures. -Positions and immobilizes patients according to the treatment plan, effectively evaluates images according to standard guidelines, and assists in resolving setup issues. -Utilizes the Quality Assurance (QA) program to encompass all aspects of treatment, treatment delivery, and quality patient care. -Demonstrate knowledge and skills to meet age-specific requirements for the population being served in their unit, including infants through elderly patients. -Ability to teach student therapists and other departmental observers.
