What to Expect This position is expected to begin around May 2026 and continue through August/September. Internships at Tesla are generally full-time, onsite roles that last a minimum of 12 weeks. International Students: If your work authorization is via CPT, consult your school regarding your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week onsite. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. About the Team Our Team focuses on the maintenance and development of privacy systems and tools that helpsTesla vehicle ownersunderstand the data collected by our vehicles. Our Team builds solutions thatvehicle owners can see and interact with and empowers us to create solutions that are impactful. This role pays special attention to vehicle accident investigations and customer claim investigations where safety systems, automated features, or vehicle behaviors are in question. This will require close work with a variety of departments and teams throughout the company including Engineering, Service, Legal and Customer Support. What You'll Do Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features for our core web applications, from the backend APIs to the frontend user interface Build andmaintainrobust data pipelines and APIs for seamless data aggregation from various systems Create intuitive and dynamic user interfaces to visualize complex datasets, making them accessible and understandable for diverse audiences Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, and product to define, design, and ship new features Contribute to the development of sophisticated analytical tools that help interpret and understand critical event data Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in a fast-paced environment What You'll Bring Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with a graduation date between August 2026 - June 2027 A keen interest in data visualization and building user-centric products Strongproficiencyin Python, with experience using web frameworks such as Flask or Django Solid experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.js, for building interactive front-end applications Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) Excellent problem-solving skills,a strong senseof ownership, and meticulous attention to detail Compensation and Benefits Benefits As a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
