Mansfield Service Partnersis looking for an Operations Supervisor for our Fort Worth, TX location.

Description

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Terminal Manager with the day-to-day operations, planning, execution, and organization of the overall facility. This includes personnel management, coordinating training for new team members, coordinating work and managing expectations set for the facility, equipment, inventory management, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and sanitation in an effort to support long-term success of the region.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Ensure that goals and objectives are met for the department.

Assist in developing a clear strategy to keep team members focused on high performance throughout the year.

Operate in a manner that is consistent with safe operations and complies with safety rules, promoting clean and safe working conditions.

Fill in for Terminal Manager when off or unavailable and handle all necessary routing, dispatching, document collection & entries that pertain to our daily operations, as well as fielding calls from drivers throughout your day as necessary.

Coordinate team member scheduling, staffing, and time/attendance approvals to ensure excellent customer service and response is achieved

Manage and coordinate daily fleet & driver related issues to ensure loads are delivered timely

Support maintenance activities of fleet and automotive equipment as needed with the regional Fleet Manager; coordinate preventative maintenance programs.

Oversee DOT compliance and reporting as it relates to fleet & driver qualifications

Coordinate the safe delivery of company assets (fuel tanks/accessories) to our customers and all service-related repairs to these assets.

Schedule loading and unloading of trucks to ensure that all customer orders can be delivered as scheduled and that all finished goods are pulled from and put to inventory in an efficient & organized manner.

Facilitate safety and security programs and activities alongside our safety team to include training, observation, ride-a-longs, proper PPE adherence, proper documentation etc.

Maintain a compliant, organized, clean facility & grounds by completing daily checklist and performing tasks required or by identifying proper vendor to complete.

Assist with fleet maintenance to include inspections, PM's, moves between yard and vendors, breakdown calls, parts pick up and other duties necessary to operate equipment fully. This includes all assets belonging to MSP.

Other duties as assigned.

Inventory Management

Ensure proper receiving of products is performed using required and available tools.

Record and maintain proper records on all shipments and receipts, to include actual receiving of products into our systems as well as filing.

Maintain proper inventory accuracy by audits and formal inventory counts.

Work with Terminal Manager & Inventory Control to identify, control & correct inventory discrepancies.

Responsible for proper stock rotation (FIFO) consolidation & organization.

Recognize unsafe work conditions and suggest new safety standards as appropriate.

Ensure proper & accurate selection of orders is performed using required and available tools.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in business management or operations a plus

Minimum Education, Experience and Certification

Five or more years of experience in a warehouse facility or similar work required

Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsement (X) required

Three or more years of leadership experience preferred

Dispatch experience preferred

Driver management experience preferred

Beginner level proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Suite required (Word, PPT, Outlook, Sharepoint)

Qualifications & Characteristics

The ability to deal with and resolve employee and customer complaints effectively and efficiently

The ability to interact confidently with all levels of senior management

Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Ability to make quick, quality decisions

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Physical and Environmental Conditions

The position is located in both an office and outdoor environment with frequent encounters dirt and dust, noise and vibration, fumes and odors and wetness/humidity. May be frequently exposed to mechanical, chemical and electrical hazards. This position also requires travel via vehicle. The employee maybe required to sit for long periods of time and occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch, talk and hear. The incumbent frequently lifts up to 25 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Workdays are Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm. This position also requires on-call status every other weekend (be available to take and respond to calls). Additional hours outside of the normal work schedule are not planned but may be necessary on occasion.
