Acara Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer I to work Onsite with our client in Buffalo, NY. Must have hands-on experience with SQL, PowerShell and Linux shell scripting, Linux and Windows server administration, and Active Directory. Responsible for end-to-end SDLC execution, including CI/CD using GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible. Comfortable providing daily production and user support, performing off-hours implementations, and participating in an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver systems solutions across diverse platforms and technologies.
- Perform systems analysis, development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Provide day-to-day application support and client consultation.
- Recommend feasible solutions, process improvements, and new technologies.
- Contribute as a key individual contributor on complex initiatives.
- Coordinate and direct less experienced resources; may manage small to medium projects.
- Prepare and execute test plans and participate in integrated testing.
- Maintain strong knowledge of supported applications and environments.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, risk, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
- Collaborate with technology teams, clients, and occasional vendors; assist in training junior staff.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems analysis/application development.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience coordinating between Applications and business units.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience recommending and implementing systems solutions.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience driving project milestones and delivery dates.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience presenting to the target audience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms.
- Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent project management, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented.

- Good understanding of the Bank's application framework.
