Position Summary:

The Associate Scientist, Formulation and Analytical Development works within the Product Development team and supports formulation and analytical testing for our parenteral drug products. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, including sample preparation, execution of analytical test methods, and documentation of results in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Formulation and Analytical Development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare samples and reagents for analytical testing and formulation studies.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing using techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis, syringe functionality (using mechanical tester), osmolality, rheometry, and particle size analysis.
  • Accurately document experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning.
  • Support method development, method transfer and validation activities as directed by senior staff.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with internal SOPs.



Required Experience Competencies:


  • Associate's or Bachelor's (preferred) degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech industry, including hands on lab experience.
  • Knowledgeable in analytical testing/techniques, such as HPLC and mechanical testing
  • Awareness in pharmaceutical regulations, standards, guidance, GXP, and quality systems.

Expectations:


  • This position is hybrid with an expectation of a minimum of 4 days and up to 5 days per week in Bedford, MA office.





Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
