Job Summary

The QA-QC Supervisor oversees the construction quality team at the project job site, providing technical guidance, supervision, and coaching to ensure the effective implementation of quality plans and process controls. This role is responsible for verifying that all installed HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems meet project specifications, production standards, and applicable quality requirements. The QA-QC Supervisor plays a key role in driving compliance, improving workmanship, and supporting overall project success through proactive quality assurance and control practices.


Essential Duties

  • Acts as a hands-on supervisor for designated team members, providing guidance on daily tasks. Develops work schedules, enforces company policies, and oversees the performance of staff. Collaborates with managers on disciplinary matters, offering recommendations and conducting effective performance management discussions.
  • Conducts thorough quality assessments, including inspections and validation of work against plans and specifications. Manages punch lists, coordinates field testing, and verifies installations align with project plans.
  • Maintains relationships with vendors, inspectors, onsite engineers, sub-contractors, etcetera. Has the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers, including senior leadership; identifying and communicating with the appropriate Subject Matter Experts when analyzing a process.
  • Assists with Root Cause Analysis and determining appropriate cause and corrective action at assigned job site/project, which includes collecting and analyzing quality data for trends. Assists in making installation recommendations to project leadership based on best practices. Collects and analyzes quality data on projects.
  • Participates on assigned job site/project activities such as: MISOPS, planning, installation, materials management, coordination, and pre-fabrication opportunities. Supports field Process Improvements at assigned job site/project to include: eliminating waste and reducing cost.
  • Creates and maintains quality documents and records, such as test reports, check lists, etc.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED is mandatory. A Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field is highly desirable.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the commercial mechanical and plumbing sector.

Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance/quality control standards.
