What to Expect
The Failure Analysis Team's mission is todetermineroot cause and contributing factors to improve the experience of Tesla's products by reducing field issues, in collaboration with large cross-sectionsof other engineering teams. Engineers and Technicians on the teamare responsible fora wide variety of vehicle and energy product systems for existing models and models in development. This extremely high visibility individual contributor role requires extensive hands-on work focused on failure analysis and root cause activities. We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer who willbe responsible forall aspects ofidentifyingand characterizing failures on our low voltage electronics. The successful candidate would work directly with the original design engineers and other failure analysis engineers to complete failure analysis and propose countermeasures. This role will primarily focus on low voltage electrical systems including infotainment, vehicle controllers, autopilotelectronics,andsteering actuators. A successful candidate will need tobecomefamiliar with the detailed behaviors and system level interactions of these components. They will work with allmannersof electrical test equipment to recreate andidentifyfailuresobservedin engineering,production,andfield environments. They will work cross functionally with other engineers and management to report root cause, investigationstatusand other relevant information. $84,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
