The Opportunity Hamilton Beach Brands is seeking a Manager, eCommerce & Cloud Architecture to lead the evolution of our eCommerce and digital application platforms. This role owns cloud-first architecture, platform stability, and the modernization of legacy systems to scalable, secure cloud solutions. This is a hands-on IT leadership role blending deep technical expertise with people leadership and cross-functional partnership. You'll work closely with Digital Marketing, Cybersecurity, Internal Audit, and IT teams to shape architecture, roadmaps, and delivery plans that support business growth. What You'll Do Digital Commerce & Cloud Leadership
- Lead the design and delivery of cloud-based eCommerce and digital platforms with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Own the cloud transformation roadmap, including migration of legacy systems to modern architectures (including serverless).
- Ensure stable eCommerce operations by identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Stay current on eCommerce, cloud, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Architecture & Technical Execution
- Serve as the solution architecture subject matter expert across integrations, secure development, and cloud/web platforms.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and governance.
- Lead technical assessments, solution design, and execution planning.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
People Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical and people leadership, including mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Partner cross-functionally to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead and influence vendors and system integrators to ensure delivery quality and alignment.
- Support resource planning and prioritization aligned to business objectives.
Security & Financial Stewardship
- Partner with Cybersecurity and Audit teams to ensure NIST-aligned security and risk management.
- Contribute to budget planning and balance innovation with cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience), required. MBA or Master's preferred.
- Minimum 7 years experience leading eCommerce platforms and cloud-based solutions, including headless commerce, payment gateways, and microservices.
- 3 years of proven ability to lead technical teams or initiatives (direct or matrix leadership).
- Strong background in solution architecture, cloud platforms, system integration, and secure development.
- Ability to translate technical complexity into business-aligned strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with cloud migration, modernization, serverless technologies, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST).
