Software Support Engineer - Electric Vehicle Technology (Onsite \| Newark, CA) Ready to help shape the future of electric vehicles? Advantage Technical is hiring a Software Support Engineer to support a cutting-edge electric vehicle manufacturer known for innovation, advanced connectivity, and next-generation vehicle systems. This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with vehicle software, embedded systems, and access control technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative OEM environment. Location: Newark, CA (100% onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday \| 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM \| 40 hours/week (OT possible) Contract: Duration TBD \| Extension possible What You'll Do: You'll support vehicle software systems by diagnosing, testing, and documenting issues related to Access Control Modules (ACM), infotainment, and connectivity features. This role works cross-functionally with development teams to debug issues, submit tickets, and support field and customer-facing solutions. Key Responsibilities: Test and diagnose ECU and access control module software Support OTA (Over-the-Air) updates and infotainment features Troubleshoot connectivity issues (LTE, WiFi, GPS, networking)Document issues clearly for knowledge transfer and field teams Use Linux-based systems and Vector tools (CAN, CANoe) Collaborate with embedded software and development teams Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science 2+ years experience in ECU testing, diagnostics, or embedded systems 2+ years experience with Linux2+ years experience using Vector tools Experience with OTA updates, access control modules, or infotainment systems preferred Why This Role: Gain niche EV expertise, expand your understanding of vehicle software architecture, and work on real-world systems impacting modern electric vehicles.
