Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Production Manager for Fabrication is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence within the manufacturing environment. This position oversees all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, and cost for the fabrication teams, ensuring that production goals are met while upholding the highest standards in workplace safety and product quality. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Engineering or Operations Management and bring at least five years of proven leadership experience in manufacturing. Through strategic guidance and hands-on management, this role plays a vital part in achieving company objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. |
Essential Functions:
Most Critical Responsibility
- Champion a safetyfirst culture, enforce safety policies, conduct audits, and drive initiatives to reduce incidents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Oversee production schedules and resource allocation to ensure ontime delivery and efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor and drive quality standards, partnering with Quality to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends, assess risks, and implement proactive solutions.
- Drive a culture of open communication, teamwork, and accountability across all levels of the fabrication operation.
- Provide strategic and daytoday leadership to fabrication teams to ensure alignment with company goals and production targets.
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify process improvement opportunities.

- Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and team members to build accountability and professional growth.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and others on new product introductions, process changes, and equipment upgrades.
- Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance to executive leadership.

EDUCATION |
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field or equivalent. |
EXPERIENCE |
- Minimum of five years related experience in supervisory or technical role.

- Proven leadership skills in motivating and developing a highly effective workforce.
- Proven track record of effective verbal and written communications in a business environment.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- High degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft applications, ERP systems, BI tools, machine programming software, and appropriate operations-related applications.
- Solid understanding and demonstrated application of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
