Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, has an immediate opening for a Multi-craft Technician for their Machine Shop located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Machine Support Services Supervisor.

Pay Range: $28.04 - $42.06 + Travel Premium (additional $3.00 per hour)
Shop Schedule: M-F 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Flexible hours when traveling may include nights, weekends, and overtime
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in using manual and power tools Ability to trouble-shoot/repair mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic problems Basic fabrication and machining skills Use of precision measuring devices including micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, pie tape, etc. Self-motivated and self-directed Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings Ability to operate a forklift Ability to operate a high-lift Ability to prioritize tasks and projects Ability to check fuses; wire motors; repair lighting issues Ability to repair plumbing issues; add additional piping as required Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check Must be willing to travel up to 25% and have the ability to obtain a passport Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record Must be willing to respond outside of normal business hours to emergency calls as needed Must have effective communication skills, verbal and written Must have ability to interact on job site in a courteous and professional manner Must always work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding Machinery Installation & Demolition Machine Alignment Willing to learn CNC operation
INTERNAL APPLICANTS:
Must be in current position at least 120 days and be in good standing Must not have disciplinary above Verbal in last 120 days Must not be on probation or be on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) Must have received 'Performer' rating or better on latest performance review
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the successful operation of production machines according to priority
Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problems and evaluation of alternate solutions; use logic, mathematics, or other problem-solving tools in data analysis or in generating solutions. Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills to include, but not limited to, the following: proficient in machine shop practices - welding, fabrication, minor electrical skills, plumbing skills, computer skills, troubleshooting, reading a micrometer, drill press operation, and reading and understanding diagrams. Ability to follow mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic layouts. Tracks job time, document parts and repairs completed. Efficient and effective troubleshooting ability. Knowledge and effective use of computerized systems Passion for driving results & demonstrated history of self-development Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping. Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals.
Perform Preventive Maintenance Conduct Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures Communicate actions taken to repair the machine to Operator and/or Lead Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards. Perform any other duties aa assigned
