We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team!

Qualifications:



  • Three to Five years' experience or related education.
  • Specific visions abilities include color, close vision, distance, and ability to focus.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, lift and stand. Use hands to finger, handle.
  • Every team member of Multi Color Corporation is expected to treat all associates respectfully and professionally.
  • Intermediate level competency in computer software (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, Web Browser)
  • Communications (verbal/written)
  • Satisfactory attendance


Desired Job Skills:



  • Intermediate Math Capability
  • Intermediate Reading/Writing
  • Ability to read/measure using various tools (Calipers, Tape Measure, Ruler)



Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of, understanding of and compliance to all Quality System Documents that are associated with this job description.
  • Actively participate in Multi Color's Lean, Quality, Product Safety, SQF (Safe Quality Foods) and Workplace Safety Programs.
  • Participate in lean, kaizen, and other production process events as a representative of the quality department.
  • Identify gaps in data and opportunities to enhance testing methodology processes.
  • Determine root cause of non-conformance material issues and develop action plans to address.
  • Assist in process capability testing and routine inspection and testing of product.
  • Lead/Support various quality project testing requirements and enhancements.
  • Monitor, review, and assure all quality record documentation is maintained as required per company guidelines.
  • When issues are identified, work with production on identified skill/process gaps and follow-up on progress post refresher training.
  • Perform product inspection audits as needed at various machines to audit processes and ensure product being produced meets or exceeds the specified standards.
  • Develop various Process Control Plans and Product Spec Sheets as required.
  • Train team members on the use of the measurement tools required: UPC, Verifier, Scales, Ruler, Calipers, Static Meter, Sutherland Rub Tester, etc.
  • Monitor non-conformance Product Procedure and Quality Hold Areas to assure adherence to the processes.
  • Provide training on new quality processes.
  • Identify best practices, share with team members, and lead implementation.
  • Create quality documentation in the support of Quality projects.
  • Perform testing as required for specified product lines.
  • Follow all plant and department specific safety rules, including use of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Understands Product Safety and HAACP or similar principles and assist in facilitating compliance throughout the organization through a variety of activities.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
