Job Description:
Responsibilities:
*The primary job function revolves around the processing of seed samples including counting or weighing seed, grinding seed, dishwashing, and making buffers.
*They will also be actively working in a group to maintain lab supplies, safety standards, documents and may also be asked to help in other seed health groups with routine testing. Routine testing lab experience is preferred.
*The individual must adhere to all Client safety regulations while working.
*A successful candidate is organized, demonstrates good time management, has strong attention to detail, and is a supportive team member.
*This role is to assist the Seed Health Lab with preparing seed for quality control testing.
*This involves weighing, grinding and adding buffer to seed along with helping other lab members with basic tasks as needed.
*The volume of samples increased significantly in the spring and summer so these contract roles help get us through the busy season and allow for timely decision making and sales for Client

Required:
*Lab coordinator, lab analysts and other seasonal contractors
*Competent with basic Microsoft Office software
*Willingness to ask questions and ask for help
*Follow SOPs and safety and quality standards
*Experience working in a lab environment
*Experience with agriculture
*Lab experience is preferred but not required

Education:
*High school, associates or some college preferred
*Laboratory - PPE required while working.
