The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center (CAC), a university-wide center based at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, seeks a candidate who has interest in population aging and healthy longevity to build one of the CAC's key core areas: Programming and Education. The primary role is two-fold: to build disciplinary and interdisciplinary research connections at all levels of Columbia's scientific community and (2) to devise and administer core education and science programming that highlights the CAC's leading position both within the field nationally/internationally as well as across the entirety of Columbia University with the ultimate goal of positioning CAC as a primary aging research hub. Responsibilities The individual in this role at the Center will work closely with the Center Director and leadership on the research development of the CAC, demonstrate efficiency and diplomacy in advancing the Center internally and externally on behalf of the Director, and oversee the Center's strategic initiatives and partnerships. The individual will autonomously cultivate and maintains scientific relationships across all levels of Columbia research community and advances the mission of the Center by:
Within the CAC, this associate collaborates seamlessly with the Director, leadership, faculty, Center Administrator and financial team. Within the Mailman School of Public Health, this associate works across academic and administrative departments and collaborates with office of education, communications, careers and field placement, etc. This associate maintains close relationships with development and communications departments. This associate also builds and maintains relationships with other Centers and Departments outside of Columbia Mailman. Minimum Qualifications
