Job Summary

Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and communication of the Institute Policy, Youth Programs, and other Ethics and Compliance efforts. Plan, develop, and implement new and revised policies, programs, and procedures to be responsive to the Ethics and Compliance needs of the Institute. Monitor Georgia Board of Regents and Institute Policies for appropriate recommendations to the Office of Ethics and Compliance Leadership.

This position will interact on a regular basis with ethics, compliance, and legal employees throughout the institute as well as staff, faculty, student, and guest.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1-Engage and assist policy owners and working groups to align Institute policies with relevant external guidance including University System of Georgia guidance, State, and Federal requirements. Support the identification and resolution of policy conflicts, gaps, and overlap.

Job Duty 2-Develop resources and tools (including the Policy Library) to support effective policy writing, development, and communication best practices with Georgia Tech.

Job Duty 3-Initiate, manage, and track the development and advancement of proposed policy creation, updates, and retirements through the policy approval process, in coordination with Policy Steering Committee, relevant stakeholders and policy owners. Communicate proposed policies for campus comment and feedback.

Job Duty 4-Support coordination of ethics and compliance outreach and communication initiatives to advance the Office of Ethics and Compliance's strategic goals and priorities; to include Institute wide ethics and compliance programming and initiatives.

Job Duty 5-Support coordination of ethics and compliance educational initiatives to advance the Office of Ethics and Compliance strategic goals and priorities.

Job Duty 6- Oversee the development and management of Georgia Tech's Policy Program to support alignment of the program with USG and GT expectations to mitigate risk.

Job Duty 7-Assist OGC, Georgia Tech Police Department and Human Resources with reporting of any policy violations and coordinate as needed on any investigations of alleged misconduct within compliance.

Job Duty 8-Collaborate with risk, audit, legal, and appropriate stakeholders across campus to inform prioritization of OEC initiatives including policy, compliance programs and other initiatives.

Job Duty 9-Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Master's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Weekends and evening required for attendance at events and entertainment; travel required.

Required Experience
o Five or more years of job-related experience
o Demonstrated high level of written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts, principles, and statutory requirements into user-friendly language.
o Ability to establish and maintain effective, successful working relationships with a wide range of people within the Institute.
o Highly organized individual with demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage a complex campus program independently, with thoroughness and attention to detail. Entrepreneurial spirit to continuously seek ways to improve program. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills required.
o Strong working knowledge of technological tools for managing and presenting information such as Office 365 SharePoint, PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Drupal, and other web site development tools.

Proposed Salary

83,659.00 -100,000 Annually.
