Stellar Solutions is seeking a Risk Manager to drive disciplined risk, issue, and opportunity management across multiple projects. You will develop analyses and mitigation recommendations, monitor cost, schedule, and performance drivers, and facilitate cross-functional alignment to deliver programs on time and within budget.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

You will maintain risk plans and roadmaps, track risks, issues, and opportunities to closure, coordinate resolution of baseline disconnects, and produce leadership-ready briefings and artifacts using digital tools and databases.

Key responsibilities include:

    Develop, update, and execute risk management plans, roadmaps, and schedules.

  • Identify, analyze, and handle risks, issues, and opportunities; communicate status to stakeholders.

  • Monitor cost, schedule, and performance drivers; resolve baseline disconnects.

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and outcome-oriented decisions.

  • Leverage digital risk tools; produce briefings and artifacts.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years in the space industry (planning, management, contract management, or business operations).

  • 5 or more years developing and updating risk plans, roadmaps, and schedules.

  • 3 or more years of systems engineering experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Business (including Economics or Finance).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with military space systems.

  • DoD acquisitions and DoD 5000.02.

  • Defense program risk planning and strong communication.

  • PMP; Master's degree in STEM.

Clearance & Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Secret Clearance
  • On-site expectation: Colorado Springs, CO.

Compensation:

The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $125,000 - $150,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).



Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
