SUMMARY

The Technical Operations Coordinator (TOC) assists the Technical Operations Supervisor (TOS) in supporting all technology needs for all the departments under Supervision Services: Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, Pretrial Services, and Treatment Courts. The essential duties include efficiently responding to staff needs to solve technical issues and triage the technology needs of staff in order for them to maintain productivity. The Technical Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all hardware and software of their assigned department, as well as provide coverage during absence of the Technical Operations Supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Technical Operations Supervisor in coordinating activities between all Supervision Services Departments with case management systems, as well as other applications such as CPCMS, JNET, PAJCIS and vendors.
  • Support compliance with County policies and State and Federal legislation and standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to assigned departmental personnel in support of computer hardware and software used in the application environment.
  • Assist with data analysis extracted from case management systems to verify reports.
  • Assist Technical Operations Supervisor with managing & maintaining hardware inventory, as well as conducting equipment inspections.
  • Foster an environment that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all hardware and software technologies used in the department.
  • Train and support department personnel in the use of computer software and applications as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to write, create, detail, and explain reports utilizing SQL and Crystal Reports.
  • Collaborate with County Information & Technology Solutions Department and other vendors to meet technology needs of each department.
  • Required to travel to various county buildings/offices on a daily/weekly basis; including offices in Pottstown, Willow Grove, Lansdale, Montgomery County Correctional Facility, Courthouse, One Montgomery Plaza)
  • Complete 16 hours of technology development training annually.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of automated systems.
  • Knowledge of computer languages.
  • Knowledge of criminal justice system
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
  • Must be accurate, detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with MS Office products, SQL and Crystal Reports.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Requires professionalism and a commitment to treating people with dignity and respect.
  • Undergo a thorough pre-employment background investigation including drug screen.
