The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Lead Linen Service Worker evaluates linen amounts needed for outpatient areas daily. They pack carts and baskets based upon area need and census. Maintain daily tracking forms. Handles special requests for items that go specifically to certain departments, and orders items as needed. Handles phone requests. Takes charge of department and employees in manager's absence. Makes linen adjustments as needed from laundry plant.

Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-12 months experience in general laundry

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Days vary with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Full Time

Essential Functions:

  • Answer telephones and take messages appropriately
  • Assembles and places linen on exchange carts for delivery to nursing units according to pre-established scheduled and par levels
  • Evaluate delivery sheet and call any necessary quantity adjustments to laundry
  • Maintain daily log/tracking forms
  • Maintain the department and soiled utility rooms in a clean and safe environment
  • Stock all clean linen on exchange cart
