POSITION OVERVIEW

An Area Director of Health Services provides oversight and support to campus clinical leadership within their assigned division. An Area DHS provides, guidance, counsel, and direction to grow and mentor their assigned campus clinical leaders and educate in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the Health Campus while ensuring that clinical excellence is achieved by execution of the Trilogy Service Standards and maintenance of the highest degree of quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grows assigned campus clinical leaders: Director of Health Services (DHS) and Assistant Director of Health Services (ADHS)
  • Supports the growth and onboarding process of assigned DHS/ADHS.
  • Provides coaching to support progress with key clinical metrics including but not limited to falls, wounds, recidivism, and infection control.
  • Provides coaching on day-to-day campus management.
  • Reviews KeyStats and clinical dashboard data in PowerBi with campus clinical leadership to ensure development of action plans around key clinical metrics.
  • Educates and ensures the Trilogy Service Standards are adhered to by the DHS/ADHS and campus clinical personnel.
  • Promotes Green Light Thinking when reviewing admission process
  • Guides campus clinical leaders and assists with campus staff education as needed for high acuity admissions.
  • Maintains communication with Campus Clinical Support nurse to review clinical leader progress, concern areas, and/or other relevant campus clinical needs.
  • Rounds with assigned campus clinical leaders during all campus visits
  • Completes infection control rounding with clinical leaders during each visit.
  • Supports regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local laws/rules as a component of observations during campus rounding.
  • Completes purposeful rounding to promote clinical standards in areas including but not limited to fall interventions, equipment usage and functioning, staff needs/education, resident comfort/needs, call light responsiveness.
  • Submits rounding/site visit reports to DVP and AVP of Clinical Support weekly or more frequently as necessary.
  • Provides growth to campus clinical leaders by participating in and providing education related to campus meetings: CCM, CAR, QAPI, EEM, and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Assists campus clinical leaders with the implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides education to campus clinical leaders related to clinical labor management. Assist with management and monitoring staffing hours via 7-day report in KeyStats, overtime monitoring, and schedule development to achieve safe and effective staffing patterns.
  • May assist with DHS Float duties within assigned division as determined by the Operation and Clinical Team.
  • Presents relevant training modules and programs to promote and foster professional development of campus clinical leaders.
  • Follows resident rights and responsibilities.
  • Follows the company's policies and procedures regarding resident complaints and/or grievances that indicate the action taken to resolve the complaint and the status of the complaint.
  • Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
  • Serve as the safety liaison ensuring the organization maintains a safe and compliant work environment. By serving as a liaison between the organization and various stakeholders, ensuring employees are compliant with safety policies and procedures, providing training and education to employees, and reporting instances of noncompliance, safety liaisons play an important role in protecting the organization and its employees from harm.
  • Serve as the Compliance Liaison between the campus and the Compliance & Ethics Program. Assist the Compliance & Ethics Department by ensuring the campus has a culture of compliance, including adequate orientation of employees to the organization's compliance policies; monitoring completion of compliance education; escalating and reporting any compliance matters and issues of noncompliance with organization policy or relevant federal, state or local regulation to the Compliance & Ethics department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License or meets licensure requirements of the state of practice.
  • Unencumbered driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Current CPR certification
