Overview

What You Will Do

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Prime Controls' quality management system and procedural framework. This role exercises independent judgment in interpreting quality standards, developing procedures, and ensuring organizational compliance with internal and external requirements. You will serve as a subject matter expert on quality processes, advising leadership and cross-functional teams on best practices and process improvements.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

    Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions aligned with organizational and industry standards. Interpret regulatory and internal requirements and translate them into actionable procedures.
  • Quality Auditing: Plan and execute internal and vendor audits to ensure compliance with established QA standards. Evaluate findings, determine risk levels, and recommend or approve corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Serve as a key quality liaison between departments, partnering with project teams and leadership to ensure consistent application of quality standards and procedures.
  • Training Materials: Develop and implement training materials and resources to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards across the organization.
  • Documentation Management: Own and administer document control processes, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and version control of all procedural documentation.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor regulatory and industry changes, interpret requirements, and ensure procedures remain compliant with applicable standards.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze quality data and workflows to identify systemic issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Reporting: Compile, analyze, and present QA findings, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making.
  • Quality Auditing: Conduct internal and vendor audits to evaluate compliance with quality standards, and influence corrective actions to ensure adherence to Prime Controls' expectations and industry requirements.

Other Duties: Lead or support quality-related initiatives as assigned by the Corporate Quality Manager.

What You Will Bring

The Basic

The Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or process improvement.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and QA software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing practices, and regulatory requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Demands (Text Only)
