Job Summary
The Chemicals Market Manager will play a critical role in driving growth and profitability within CSX's Chemicals business unit. This position is primarily responsible for developing pricing strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with sales teams to manage complex customer relationships. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Design and execute competitive pricing models for multiple chemical segments to optimize revenue and market share.
  • Continuously analyze industry trends, cost structures, and competitor pricing to ensure strategies align with CSX's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales and internal stakeholders to craft compelling product value propositions that support customer engagement and growth.
  • Build deep expertise in assigned product areas through research and competitor analysis and translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the manager to support business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 2 or more years of experience in product management, marketing, pricing, project management and/or business to business (B2B) sales

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in product management, B2B marketing, pricing, project management and/or B2B sales

Knowledge and Skills

  • Technically proficient in querying data and design reporting, knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), and of Business Intelligence tools.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize large, complex data sets and provide insights to advance business objectives.
  • Project management skills, strong business acumen and leadership skills, with sound time management and attention-to-detail, and ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
  • Process improvement skills, and project management skills for a cross-functional context.
  • Ability to establish rapport and relationships with individuals at multiple levels internally and externally.
