Senior Startup Development Manager

Microsoft for Startups is a global team that takes a 360-degree approach to build success. We work with Venture Capitalists (VCs), industry organizations, customers, and our field teams to identify the most promising startups. By working closely with startup leaders, we empower them to leverage Microsoft's extensive resources and global Business-to-Business (B2B) market reach. As a Senior Startup Development Manager, your role will involve collaborating with early-stage startups backed by our strategic partners, helping them build and innovate more efficiently using Microsoft's Cloud and AI stack. Acting as a trusted technical advisor and hands-on solutions architect, you will enable these startups to accelerate their product development and go-to-market strategies by harnessing Azure AI technologies and tools. This role demands a solid grasp of both the technical and business aspects of the startup's goals and a proficiency in fostering positive relationships with the startup.

In addition to these responsibilities, the individual in this Senior Startup Development Manager role will partner internally with Microsoft product, sales, and engineering teams to support the dynamic and fast-paced needs of startups. This collaboration will empower founders to successfullypartner with Microsoft as they navigate their product development and Go-To-Market Strategies.

• You'llhelp customers deploy features and/or services launched by the engineering team by aligning deployment modules with thecustomers, andvalidating the success of the deployment.
• You willmonitorinternal data quality dashboards todeterminecustomers' and partners'usagehealth post-launch.
• While collecting and encouraging customer and partner feedback through various tools,identifyingways to improve deployments and products,you'llalso manage customer success to prevent customer escalations.
• You will directly interact with challenging/senior-level customers and engineers to conduct quarterly reviews to understand customers' deployment stage. And you will support the field team with customer issues, prioritizing andflagging forthe product/engineering team.
• As you engage in partner enablement activities to help customers learn about the product and proper usage of the products, you will update them on new product features and functionalities.
• You'llsupport the development of best practices for customer stories and product usage and of written content to build product utility in the community.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field AND 8+years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years experience working cloud native applications.
• Technical Certification in Cloud Solution Architecture (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).

Customer Solutions Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
