The Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team is a global engineering organization that works directly with customers looking to leverage the latest technologies to address their toughest challenges. We work closely with our customers' engineers to jointly develop code for cloud-based solutions that can accelerate their organization. We work in collaboration with Microsoft product teams, partners, and open-source communities to empower our customers to do more with the cloud. We develop solutions side-by-side with our customers through collaborative innovation to solve their challenges. This work involves the development of broadly applicable, high-impact solution patterns and open-source software assets that contribute to the Microsoft platform. We are hiring aProduct DesignSpecialisttodefine specific product needs based on user insights toideateto define solutions to meet user needs and create and develop design concepts and specifications that optimize the emotional and functional experience of a product, software, device, orservice.You willcollaboratewith a cross-functional teamof software engineers, technical program managers, and data scientiststo work side-by-side with high-impact and strategic customers and their engineers to build innovative solutions. Responsibilities You willdeliversuccess through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring andberesponsible for attracting and retaining great people. You will ensure quality by leading interactions with teams and driving QAs while pushing the design agenda forward.You'llalso lead the production of visual designs while overseeing the creation of a variety of visual design documents. You willidentifyscenarios that will turn into interaction designs.You'llalso direct your teams to improve product UX through the creation of interaction models while acting as a liaison between users and products. You will guide communication with cross-disciplinary teams across all stages of design and development. You will also tell a compelling, convincing product story to a variety of audiences thatinfluencesbuy-in from key stakeholders. You will lead collaboration with creative team members, program managers, and developers to define product features.You'llcollaborate with leadership and your team to deliver product design results while also providing guidance to product designers and creating clarity for stakeholders. You will embodyourcultureandvalues Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs) Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND8+years experienceworking in product or service design ORMaster's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND6+years experienceworking in product or service design OR equivalent experience (e.g.,demonstratedexperience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems) Product Design IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
