Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) - Inventory Tech

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary - Six Weeks - OT Eligible

Location: West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA

Position Description:

GoldenWolf is seeking a Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) Inventory Tech to travel to West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, and capture basic equipment information such as location, make, model, manufacturing, and name plate data. We will be inventorying most buildings on this campus.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented, resourceful, and self-motivated engineering technician/maintenance mechanic who will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Identify Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) assets for inventory purposes.
  • Identify data to include with RPIE inventory.
  • Review data collected to ensure quality control.
  • Communicate across multiple platforms to ensure successful inventory capture in a team environment.
  • Coordinate with military and civilian personnel to achieve RPIE inventory objectives.
  • Create data reports as necessary.
  • Participates in daily and weekly meetings as assigned by the client and GoldenWolf manager.
Requirements

Skills:

  • Experienced with equipment identification.
  • Strong attention to detail for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Fire Protection systems.
  • Experience using technology to support a facility is a plus. Real Property Inventoried Equipment (RPIE) experience and DMLSS or similar CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) background will be given special consideration.
  • Construction experience, good technical and organizational skills as needed.
  • Excels working as part of a team.

Education:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience working in facilities maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Construction experience, good technical, and organizational skills needed.

Physical Demands:

  • This role requires prolonged periods of standing, excessive walking through facilities while on site.
  • May be required to crawl, climb, and crouch to access equipment.
  • Must be able to travel 100% of the time.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
